Elections C'tee fines Shas NIS 36,000 for blessings on ads

The Central Elections Committee on Monday fined Shas NIS 36,000 for distributing campaign advertisements featuring a blessing from the party's spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.
Central Elections Committee chairman Judge Elyakim Rubinstein ruled to fine Shas after the party failed to heed a previous order not to include blessings in election material, Israel Radio reported.
