EU says Jerusalem terror attack 'painful reminder' of need for Israeli-Palestinian peace talks

The European Union said on Thursday that the terrorist attack in east Jerusalem “is another painful reminder of the need for serious efforts towards a sustainable peace agreement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”
The EU’s new foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, released a statement on Thursday urging both sides to exercise restraint and “to not further inflame the already very tense situation.”
“This is the only way to defeat the enemies of peace and guaranteeing security to all,” she said.
