Family, friends cheer as bus of released prisoners nears Ramallah

A crowd of around 500 people broke out into cheers as a bus of 11 Palestinian prisoners set to arrive at the Muqata compound in Ramallah crossed the Beitunia checkpoint into the West Bank.
They were set to arrive from Ofer Prison after being released early Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, another bus carrying 15 prisoner passengers was also set to arrive in Gaza.
The 26 prisoners, the first batch of a total of 104 that Israel has agreed to free in a four-stage nod to the Palestinians at the resumption of peace talks, were taken to Ayalon Prison in Ramle from jails across Israel on Monday.
