The family of Col. Sharon Asman, an IDF senior commander who collapsed and died yesterday during during a combat fitness drill at the Beit Lid camp, agreed on Friday to have his organs donated. Asman was a registered organ donor, the carrier of an Adi card. His corneas will be transplanted to patients in need.
He was a commander of the Nahal Brigade and had taken the position just this week. He is survived by his wife and two children.
