Feminist activists, ultra-orthodox in confrontation at Western Wall

Confrontations are occuring between Women of the Wall, who are celebrating 30 years of activity at the Western Wall, and ultra-orthodox Jews as well as female religious students, the latter conducting a mass prayer at the women's section of the Wall in a bid to upset the celebrations, according to a report in Maariv.
Police forces are separating the two sides.
The Women of the Wall organization has been fighting for the right of women to pray at the Western Wall in a similar fashion to men, with singing, reading aloud from the Torah, and the wearing of certain religious garments traditionally worn only by men.
