A fire broke out in a field by Argaman, a settlement in the West Bank located in the Jordan Valley, near the Jordanian border. Fire-fighting aircraft were sent to help fight the raging flames, which quickly spread to a nearby minefield, thus preventing access to emergency response teams. Heavy black smoke billowed across the area, as the fire soon spread into a kilometer long.
