Fire in northern Carmel shore continues to rage

The fire that broke out on Carmel shore in the north continued to rage on Monday. Aircraft crews who were working on putting out the fire reportedly ceased their operations for the night, and said they will renew them in the morning.
According to estimates by the Jewish National Fund (JNF), so far about 1,000 acres of natural shrubs have reportedly been burned. Firefighters have encountered several difficulties regarding access to the affected area.
Twelve fire fighting crews were reportedly working on putting the fire out in cooperation with JNF, the National Parks Authority and 30 volunteers who were expected to operate throughout the night.
