Palestinians begun voting for new mayors and local councils across the West Bank on Saturday morning in what constitutes their first chance to cast ballots in six years. About half a million voters will elect their representatives in 93 local councils across the West Bank, Ma'an News Agency reported.Hamas is boycotting the election.The voting booths opened at 7 a.m. Saturday morning at 340 locations, and are set to end at 7 p.m, with the exception of an extra voting hour for the Samaritan community in Nablus, who observe the Sabbath. Results are expected Sunday, Ma'an News Agency reported.
