Football: Lions, Underdogs, Black Swarm triumph in IFL

Week 2 of the Kraft Family Israel Football League provided much excitement as two out of the three games went down to the wire.

On Thursday night, the Jerusalem Lions handily defeated the Petah Tikva Troopers by a score of 46-10.

The Haifa Underdogs beat the Ramat HaSharon Hammers 25-24 on Harrison Fearnley’s game-winning extra-point kick in overtime on Friday, while two futile offenses on Saturday night lead to the Beersheba Black Swarm narrowly beating the Mazkeret Batya Silverbacks 7-0.

The Lions will play the Rebels this Thursday in the seventh annual Hannuka Bowl.
