Foreign Ministry strike postponed

The Foreign Ministry Workers Union decided Sunday to not initiate a strike yet, in hopes that a deal can be reached this week on new wage agreements to replace those that have not been updated in more than 10 years.
The union had intended to go on strike Sunday, but decided to give negotiations another chance. A meeting will be held Thursday with Histadrut Labor Federation chief Avi Nissenkorn and Treasury officials.
An agreement signed in 2014 promised a new wage model within six months but was never implemented.
