Foreign troops death toll in Afghanistan at 700

KABUL, Afghanistan — The death toll for international troops in Afghanistan this year has reached 700, according to an Associated Press count, after NATO announced one of its service members had been killed in southern Afghanistan.
The coalition did not provide further details on the latest casualty, which was the second to be announced on Tuesday.
Some news organizations count the deaths of service members assigned to other countries as part of the war in Afghanistan, making their totals slightly higher.
