Former finance minister Hirchson prison sentence cut by 3rd

The Israel Prison Service's parole board on Thursday shortened the sentence of former finance minister Abraham Hirchson by one third, bringing his release date to mid-January, Israel Radio reported.
In 2009, Hirchson was convicted in the Tel Aviv District Court and sentenced to 65 months in prison and a fine of NIS 450,000. He was sentenced on four counts of stealing millions of shekels from the National Workers Labor Federation during his time as chairman.
