Former minister of tourism Rabbi Benny Elon, 62, passed away on Friday after battling an illness over the past few years. Elon's funeral will take place Friday afternoon at Har-Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem. Elon served in Ariel Sharon's second government and resigned in protest of the disengagement plan.
