France: Israel's settlements endanger the two-state solution

The French Foreign Relations Ministry's spokesperson released a formal statement on Thursday condemning Israel's approval of the construction of 2191 new settler homes.
"France condemns Israel's decision to allow the expansion of settler houses in the West Bank," the spokesperson wrote. "The settlements establishments do not correspond with UNSC resolution 2334. The settlements endanger the two-state solution, which is the only solution that would allow for peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians."
"We call on Israeli authorities to reconsider this decision," the letter concluded.
