The Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva will offer free early diagnoses of prostate cancer this Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. When they did this last year, they saved the lives of a number of men, the hospital said on Sunday. Prostate cancer is the most common malignancy in Israeli men. Forty percent of the tumors, however, do not endanger men’s lives, as it is often slow growing, and patients die of some other cause. In this case, they need followup but no immediate treatment.
