French President declares national emergency, Notre-Dame Cathedral burns

French President Emanuel Macron declared a state of national emergency in France on Monday asNotre-Dame Cathedral burns in a fire that is still ongoing.

The French firefighting services avoided using air-efforts to dump water or sand on the cathedral fearing it would collapse.
