Gaddafi forces shell Gadamis for first time

RABAT - Muammar Gaddafi's forces on Friday shelled the town of Gadamis, 600 km southwest of Tripoli, for the first time since a February uprising against his rule, a rebel spokesman said.
"Gadamis is being shelled by Gaddafi forces, according to witnesses in the town," spokesman Juma Ibrahim said from the rebel-held town of Zintan in the Western Mountains region.
