Gal-On: Iran deal should be given a chance; better than PM's threats and intimidation

Following the reaching of the agreement with Iran over its nuclear program earlier this week, Meretz leader Zehava Gal-On said on Saturday that she has requested that a Knesset investigative committee be formed to look into the government's functioning on the Iranian nuclear issue and on what she called the deteriorating relations between Israel and the US.
Gal-On said that the vote for the formation of the committee would be brought before the Knesset plenum this week.
"I don't buy the prime minister's [Benjamin Netanyahu] argument that it would be preferable for Iran to have a bomb rather than reaching this agreement at all," Gal-On said.
"It is better to give this agreement a chance, the alternative being the threats and intimidation that Netanyahu offers," she added.
