Galilee District Police chief Lt.-Cmdr. Menahem Hever and Nahariya chief Dept. Cmdr. Benny Abalaya received death threats from alleged mobster Michael Mor, prompting police to provide them and their families with 24-hour security, Israel Radio reported Sunday.
Mor, said by police to head a crime organization in Nahariya, was one of the two alleged underworld bosses targeted by four vigilante policemen who planted a bomb beneath his car in 2006.
The policemen were convicted in July.
