Gantz attacks Netanyahu for defaming judicial system in front of Greek PM

Defense Minister and Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday for slandering the Israeli judicial system during his meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis earlier Monday.

"This is proof of Netanyahu's compromised judgment," Gantz wrote in a tweet.

"The judges are the only ones who will determine the trial's date, conduct and verdict. Netanyahu, Israel has a strong and honest judicial system, whether you like it or not," he added.

Gantz was referring to a meeting between Netanyahu and Kyriakos that focused on reaching an agreement that will allow Israeli and Greek tourists to travel to both countries, in light of Israel's successful vaccine rollout.
