Gantz: Operation Brother's Keeper has come to an end

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz on Tuesday praised OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Nitzan Alon on the killing of the two Palestinian terrorists wanted for kidnapping and killing three Israeli teens in June.

"On the eve of Rosh Hashana, Operation Brother's Keeper, which began on June 13, 2014 and has been continued with determination this entire time, has come to an end," he said.

"We promised the the Sha'er, Yifrah and Fraenkel families that we would find the murderers of their sons and we did," Gantz added.

Praising the soldiers who helped find the murderers, Gantz said, "There is no consolation for the deep mourning and pain of these families, but I hope that they're burden was lightened a little bit by the news that we got the murderers of their sons."
