Gasoline prices to drop 3 percent on February 1

Between Saturday night and Sunday, self-service fuel prices will drop another 19 agorot per liter – to their lowest level in the past five years.
Following the change, the maximum price per liter for self-service 95-octane benzene will be NIS 6.08, down 3.03 percent from the previous month, the National Infrastructure, Energy and Water Ministry said Thursday.
The full-service surcharge will be unchanged at 19 agorot per liter, the ministry said.
In Eilat, where fuel is sold without VAT , the maximum price per liter for self-service 95-octane benzene will be NIS 5.15, down 17 agorot from the previous month, or 3.2%. The full-service surcharge in Eilat will remain 16 agorot per liter, unchanged from January, the ministry said.
The 3.03% drop in self-service fueling prices follows a 9.13% – or 63-agorot – reduction that occurred between December and January.
Fuel prices in Israel have continued to fall due to the decreasing international price of gasoline, the Energy Ministry said.
