Gazan smuggler indicted for selling scuba gear to Hamas

Israel's Southern District Prosecutor on Sunday filed an indictment against a Gaza-based equipment dealer, who smuggled scuba diving equipment into the coastal enclave and sold it to Hamas militants.
The prosecutor's office also accused the defendant of selling large amounts of sporting equipment and clothing to the Palestinian terrorist group.
The indictment charged Abd al-Rhman Sakallah, 41, of seven charges, including security offenses, contact with a foreign argent, the provision of service to an illicit organization, fraud under aggravated circumstances and committing prohibited property transactions.
Sakallah's activities were uncovered in a joint investigation by police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency).
