Muammar Gaddafi will not be able to stay in power after his brutal response to the popular uprising in Libya, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said , Reuters reported Saturday.In an article to be published in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung newspaper on Sunday, Westerwelle criticized the European Union for not acting sooner to impose sanctions against Gaddafi.
