Germany expels 4 Syrian diplomats from embassy in Berlin

Germany on Monday expelled four Syrian diplomats stationed at Damascus's embassy in Berlin, AFP reported, in an effort to further isolate the regime of Bashar Assad.
"We are sending a clear message with the expulsion of four Syrian embassy staff that we are reducing relations with the Assad regime to an absolute minimum," Germany's Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said in a statement.
According to AFP, the German Foreign Ministry gave the designated staff until Thursday "to leave their posts."
Berlin in May expelled Syria's ambassador to Germany following a massacre of more than 100 people in the Houla region, north of Homs.
