Gilad Sharon, son of former prime minister, joins Likud

Gilad Sharon, son of former prime minister Ariel Sharon, announced that he will run in the upcoming elections with the Likud party, in an interview on Army Radio Thursday.
"My father did not want to destroy the party," Sharon said. "There was a disagreement over the disengagement from Gaza. Everything stays in the family."
"Like everyone else I would be happy if the head of the party would express his support for my candidacy, but I'm not depending on it."
