On Monday, Israeli singer Eyal Golan cancelled his performance at the Tel Aviv solidarity concert for Hebron IDF shooter which was set to take place on Tuesday. 'Yesterday, I chose to come out and support an IDF soldier and his family. I neer meant to act out against the IDF Chief of Staff, whom I appreciate greatly, or against the IDF,' Golan said in a statement. 'My only intent was to come sing, and support, in the name of art and in my name as an artist. Unfortunately, some took my decision to a political place - as if I'm declaring war against the IDF.' 'For this reason, I decided to cancel my appearance at the show,' Golan said.
