Government approves plan to build new Arab town near Acre

The National Council for Planning and Building approved Tuesday plans to build a new Arab city near Acre, Channel 2 reported.
The authority said that the city would have the capacity for up to 10,000 housing units.
The city would be the first non-Beduin Arab city to be erected in Israel since its establishment.
It is planned to have a population of 40,000, and would be connected to a planned train line between Acre and Karmiel
