Gov't approves NIS 224m. of benefits for Sderot, Gaza belt

The cabinet approved Sunday a set of economic benefits worth 224 million shekels for Sderot and the Gaza belt region.

Benefits include a 30 percent discount on residential property tax, assistance with medical emergencies and psycho0social support for anxiety sufferers.

Eight million shekels worth of assistance will be provided to the Sderot municipality and five million shekels worth to the regional councils for special expenses arising from the security situation. The region will also receive 6.5 million dollars of day care subsidies.
