Gunman who killed Russian ambassador posed as bodyguard to get into venue

The gunman who killed the Russian Ambassador to Turkey in Ankara on Monday, an off duty policeman, posed as the diplomat's bodyguard to slip into the art gallery where the incident occurred.
Al Jazeera reported that the man was dressed for the part, down to a Russian flag pinned to his suit, and this allowed him to stand close behind Andrey Karlov and perpetrate the attack.
Karlov was not assigned any personal security for the event, and the attacker was only killed some minutes later by Turkish police who rushed to the scene.
