Hadas denies reports of resignation, says term completed

The government's chief negotiator for the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, Haggai Hadas, on Wednesday denied reports about his resignation, and said he has only completed his term in his position.
"The prime minister and I agreed in advance that I would hold the position for two years due to family commitments," Hadas said in a statement.
"The time period has come to end and I will remain the position until I find a replacement," he added.
Noam Schalit, Gilad's father, said he was not notified of Hadas's decision.
"The bottom line is that Gilad has not returned after so many years," Schalit said, "so I don't want to speculate if we should be worried by this or not."
