Hadash Communist party to elect candidates

The Hadash council will elect six candidates to run in the 21st Knesset an an event Friday in Shfaram, a mostly Arab city in northern Israel.
The 940 representatives of the Hadash Council, elected at active branches throughout the country, will vote and determine the composition for the list for the April national elections.
Hadash ran as part of the Joint List in the previous election, gaining 13 seats in the 120-seat Knesset. Its leader Ayman Odeh will seek to continue his leadership of the party. Other candidates include a mix of Jewish, Muslim and Christian Israelis including MK Aida Touma-Suleiman, Jafar Farah, Noa Levy, Yaela Raanan, Efraim Davidi, Ofer Kasif and Raja Za'atara. MK Dov Khenin will not seek re-election.
Hadash supports a communist economy and calls for the removal of all Israelis from post-1967 borders.
