Haifa restaurant Azad to pay soldier NIS 5000

The Haifa supreme court ruled Wednesday that Haifa restaurant Azad owners will have to pay the sum of NIS 5000 to a man they kicked out because he was wearing his army uniform.
The incident occurred early 2010, when an IDF soldier had just returned from his reserve duty with a friend, also a reservist, and were immediately refused service. The two soldiers had been wearing their army uniforms. Restaurant owners claimed that they refused the soldiers because "the uniform does not serve the atmosphere or the place."
