Hamas calls for escalation of violence in Jeruslaem

In a statement posted on its official website on Thursday, Hamas called for an escalation of violence in Jerusalem.

"Hamas calls on the Palestinian population to escalate clashes with the occupation wherever they may be, confirming their adherence to the option of resistance by all means and tools until the liberation of the land and people from the Israeli occupation," said Hamas's statement on their website.

In a press conference earlier on Thursday, Mushir al-Masri, a senior Hamas spokesperson, said of the terror attack in Jerusalem on Wednesday that killed a three-month-old girl, “The attack in Jerusalem is an act of heroism and a natural response to the crimes of the occupation against our people and our holy places.”
