Hapoel Tel Aviv soccer player arrested for alleged hit-and-run

Hapoel Tel Aviv soccer player Khateb Obaida has been arrested for allegedly hitting a pedestrian in the Nazareth area and failing to help the man, who later died of his wounds.
Obaida@@@s remand was extended until Thursday at Nazareth Magistrate@@@s Court on Tuesday.
According to police, Obaida hit 39-year-old Naif Ashkar, from Kfar Raina in the North, and left the scene without helping him. He went to police, admitting that he had hit the man three hours later.
