'Hasamba' illustrator Shmuel Katz dies at 83

Illustrator Shmuel Katz died on Saturday after suffering a stroke at the age of 83.
Katz illustrated a famous children’s book written by Leah Goldberg, Dira Lehaskir, which was published in 1958, and the first edition of Yigal Mossinson’s Hasamba, about an adventurous group of Tel Aviv children.
Katz died at the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya. He is survived by two daughters and six grandchildren.
