Illustrator Shmuel Katz died on Saturday after suffering a stroke at the age of 83.
Katz illustrated a famous children’s book written by Leah Goldberg, Dira Lehaskir
, which was published in 1958, and the first edition of Yigal Mossinson’s Hasamba
, about an adventurous group of Tel Aviv children.
Katz died at the Western Galilee Hospital in Nahariya. He is survived by two daughters and six grandchildren.
