Health min. picks woman as 1st female chauffeur for min.

Health Minister Yael German on Wednesday hired a 22-year-old woman to be her official driver -- the first-ever woman to be a minister's personal chauffeur.
Sapir Gavriel, of Rishon Lezion, will in the meantime drive German’s private car -- a hybrid Toyota Prius -- to work in Jerusalem, on her visits to other parts of the country and to her home in Herzliya, where she was mayor for more than 15 years. German insists that the state car she receives for her use must also be a hybrid or an electric-only car.
During her Israel Defense Forces service, Gavriel was a military driver and, she says, "fell in love with the job." After completing her military services, she continued to work as a professional driver. When German put a notice on Facebook, which she uses regularly, saying she was seeking a woman driver, she received a number of applications, and she chose Gavriel for the job.
