Health Ministry: 2 women with swine flu hospitalized in severe condition

The Health Ministry reported on Thursday that two women were hospitalized in severe condition after being diagnosed with swine flu. A 50-year-old suffering from chronic illnesses was admitted to the intensive care unit at Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, and a 62-year-old suffering from a heart disease was admitted to Beersheba's Soroka Medical Center. According to ministry numbers, as of Thursday afternoon some 1,719 Israelis have been infected with swine flu, with 20 of them in serious condition. Israel saw its first H1N1 fatality over the weekend when a 35-year-old man died of swine flu in Eilat's Yoseftal Hospital.
