Health Ministry raids TA salmon vendor

The Health Ministry and Tel Aviv Municipality inspectors destroyed some 1,100 kg. of Norwegian salmon and other fish at the Yisrael Fish Marketing Ltd. company in Tel Aviv, it was announced on Wednesday.
They came to the company, at 9 Rehov Shearith Yisrael Street, on Tuesday following reports from Dan region veterinarians who had inspected the fish. They reported that the “last date for sale” had been changed and extended, making the fish a danger to public health.
The ministry did not say how long the expiry date had been postponed, but noted that it would continue to enforce the law, including the taking of legal measures against the company.
