Hebrew U. places 23rd in annual World University Rankings list

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) released its 2015 rankings this weekend, placing the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the 23rd slot overall, down one rank since last year.
Also featuring in the top 100 universities are the Weizmann Institute of Science (39) and Tel Aviv University (86). The Weizmann Institute of Science also dropped one rank since last year, while Tel Aviv University has held steady.
CWUR is based in Saudi Arabia and releases annual rankings of universities from around the world based on eight criteria: quality of education, measured by university alumni who have won international awards; alumni employment, measured by university alumni who have held CEO positions at top companies; quality of faculty, measured by academics who have won international awards; publications, measured by research papers appearing in reputable journals; influence, measured by research papers appearing in highly influential journals; citations, broad impact, and patents.
