Helmsley Trust to grant $5 million for Ashdod hospital operating rooms

The new Assuta Hospital, a Maccabi Healthcare Services public hospital with private medical services that will open in June in Ashdod, will receive $5 million from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust.
The grant will provide eight operating rooms with state-of-the-art equipment and systems and increase access to surgery and shorten queues for up to half-a-million residents of Israel’s southern periphery. Since 2010, the trust has given over $170 million to projects and organizations in Israel.
