Herzog: Netanyahu's remarks to FM 'too cautious'

Welfare and Social Services Ministr Isaac Herzog criticized Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's remarks to Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman as "too cautious" and ignoring the great damage done to Israel and its image, reported Israel Radio on Tuesday.
Herzog claimed that the prime minister's comments served his own domestic political needs, but did not touch upon the country and the democratic system.
He added that he believed this was an opportunity for the prime minister to examine the achievements of his ministers and replace them if necessary, reported Israel Radio.
Herzog's criticism came after earlier Tuesday Netanyahu announced that he had spoken with Lieberman and rejected  his comments criticizing Likud ministers who spoke out against the establishment of a parliamentary committee to probe funding of left-wing NGOs.
