Hezbollah commander killed in Syria, buried in Lebanon

A senior Hezbollah commander died in fighting against rebel forces on Sunday in Syria, according to a Lebanese security source.
On Monday, a funeral procession was held in the coastal Lebanese city of Sidon and led by Hezbollah MP Ali Fayyad, according to the Lebanese Daily Star.
Lebanese army forces deployed in order to maintain peace during the funeral.
Bazzi’s family moved to Sidon from Bint Jbeil.
The security source, quoted by AFP, said that Bazzi was a top military commander.
A website for Bin Jbeil, Bazzi’s hometown, announced his death and posted his pictures.
“Ali Hussein Bazzi ... died a martyr as he was carrying out his sacred duty as a jihadist,” read the announcement, according to AFP.
Hezbollah forces are aiding, along with Iran, the Syrian regime led by President Bashar Assad in its battle against Sunni dominated rebel forces.
