High Court gives residents, Treasury 4-hour deadline

The High Court of Justice gave medical residents and the Finance Ministry an 8 p.m. deadline on Sunday to present details on the format of future negotiations in a labor dispute.
The two sides will also have to decide whether to accept Supreme Court President Dorit Beinish's proposal to appoint two mediators: retired justice Yitzhak Zamir and negotiator Moti Mironi.
Based on their answers, the high court will decide whether to continue the hearing tonight or at a later date.
Residents also promised to return to work as a confidence-building measure.
