High Court throws out monthly stipend for over 10,000 non-working haredim

The High Court decided to withdraw government stipends to yeshiva students in a ruling on Sunday that declared the income support for some Israeli students a discriminatory practice.
Since 2010, over 10,000 non-working yeshiva students who study full time and have at least three children received NIS 1,000 per month in income support from the government.
The High Court ruling will come into effect next year.
