High school students to return to class, announce end to strike

The National Student and Youth Council announced an end to the week-long high school students@@@ strike on Wednesday, following a court injunction preventing teachers from cancelling school field trips.
The Council initially called the strike in protest of both the cancellation of all extracurricular activities including school field trips by the Secondary School Teacher@@@s Association, who are protesting their poor working conditions as well as the ongoing strike by driving examiners.
Council Chairman Eliav Batito said that as far as the students were concerned the strike was a success and added that there was also “significant progress made” on the issue of the driving examiner’s strike.
