Histadrut turns postal strike to Transport, Tourism ministries

A strike of Israel Postal Company workers will expand on Wednesday to the Transportation and Tourism Ministries, the Histadrut Labor Federation announced Tuesday as negotiations with the Finance Ministry over a labor dispute faltered.
In addition to the ministry strikes, registered mail will not be delivered, nor will any mail to government ministries or embassies.
On Tuesday, the strike shuttered courts as part of the struggle over the fate of 1,500 post office workers, but the court doors will reopen on Wednesday.
Postal workers will also protest outside the Tel Aviv cinematheque from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
