Holon to hold annual ELEM run for youth in distress on Friday

Hundreds of runners are set to participate in the annual ELEM Marathon for youth in distress in Holon on Friday.
This marks the fourth year ELEM, the nonprofit organization helping youth in distress, has held the marathon. The race is open to the public and runners will include businessmen, soldiers, students, and local celebrities raising money for the organization.
The collaboration between the nonprofit and the Holon municipality extends beyond the race, with ELEM running three programs for youth at risk in the city: “hafuch al hafuch” counseling centers, “friendship” vans which operate nightly offering immediate help to distressed youth and “Migdalor” centers where youth can work on academic studies an engage in extracurricular activities in a safe environment.
All the proceeds of the race will go towards the numerous projects operated by ELEM assisting youth in distress throughout the country.
