Hostage-taker, six others killed in Florida apartment shooting

MIAMI - Seven people were shot and killed at a Miami-area apartment early Saturday, including the suspected gunman, the Miami Herald said.The gunman, who was holding two hostages at the time, was killed by a police SWAT team after an eight-hour standoff at the apartment building in the Miami suburb of Hialeah. The standoff began with an argument between the gunman and the husband and wife who ran the building.
