Hundreds of Palestinians protest in Hebron

Hundreds of Palestinians staged a protest in the center of Hebron on Tuesday to demand that the IDF release the bodies of Palestinians who were killed during stabbing attacks in the past few week.
The protesters marched towards an IDF checkpoint on Shuhada Street, where they were dispersed with tear gas and rubber bullets after hurling stones and empty bottles at the soldiers, eyewitnesses reported.
They said that at least eight Palestinians were rushed to hospital after suffering wounds from the rubber bullets, while scores of others were treated for gas inhalation.
Dr. Walid Zalloum, director of Al-Ahli Hopsital in Hebron, said he believed some of the Palestinians had also been wounded by live ammunition.
The protest was organized to demand that the IDF return the bodies of 11 Palestinians who were killed during attacks on IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.
